Music to Read By: The Gababeat
Categories fail this band's sensuous mix of deep throbbing bass coupled with floating melodious riffs and an angelic voice. What separates this band from the rest is that the combined whole is humble and understated. It is up to the listener to give the sound the emphasis they want, when they want it.

The band consists of three members, Gabor plays guitar, bass, and synthesizer; Attila plays drums and lead guitar with Krisztina at vocals. They opened a Myspace page late last fall and have been hugely popular with over 200,000 hits in just six months. Avoiding the flash of many music websites this popularity is carried on by the music alone, as it should.

Much like the motto of their hometown, Pecs, Hungary, their sound is borderless, moving easily across the spectrum from alternative to electronica and rock creating what is their own unique and appealing voice.

Their understated quality makes their sound very flexible; The Gababeat can be enjoyed as low volume background music or cranked up at a Friday night party.
